HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: There will be no work on the project from Thursday, July 2 at 3:30 PM through Monday, July 6 at 6:00 AM in honor of the Fourth of July national holiday.
DAYTIME WORK: Aside from the holiday schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control, as required.
- Excavate and backfill at the detention pond and install drainage.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, and place process aggregate base Route 15 NB (from Miller Avenue to where the I-91 NB Exit 17 ramps enters Route 15 NB.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, and place process aggregate base, and final grading at Route 15 NB Exit 65B to I-691.
- Excavate and install support of excavation; demolish abutments and pull piles on the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street
- Excavate and grade for footings for abutments for the Route 15 Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street
- Permanent paving at multiple ramps and on Route 15 NB
- Set and strip formwork for deck, parapet, and sidewalk for the I-691 WB Bridge over Gravel Street and demolish former pedestals.
- Prep, pour, cure, patch at various locations.
- Set, strip, and pour deck endblocks for the North Wall Street Bridge
- Install rebar on the North Wall Street and Gravel Street bridges
- Install drainage and illumination at multiple locations
- Onsite/offsite trucking.
NIGHT WORK: Aside from the holiday schedule, Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits:
- Lane I-91 SB lane closures (Exits 18-17) for bridge saw cut and demolition
- I-91 NB lane closures (Exits 15-18) to saw cut concrete pavement
- Route 15 NB (Paddock Ave. to East Main Street) for temporary barrier work
Nighttime Ramp Closures with Detours; Detour routes will be posted:

- I-691 WB Exit 1B (I-691 WB to I-91 SB) Monday through Wednesday (6/29—7/1) and Monday through Friday (7/6—7/10) for bridge saw cutting and demolition.
- I-91 NB 15-minute road closures for saw cutting concrete pavement Wednesday, 7/8.
- Route 15 NB Exit 65B (Route 15 NB ramp to I-691 WB) ramp closure Thursday, 7/9
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
