Bridge rehabilitation with a temporary road closure and detour will be performed on the North Wall Street Bridge over I-691 in Meriden.
This work is scheduled to occur from Sunday night, June 28, 2029 at 6:00 PM and be completed by Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
A detour will be implemented at both ends of the North Wall Street Bridge while the bridge is being rehabilitated. Pedestrian traffic over the bridge will be maintained throughout this period.
DETOUR INFORMATION
The North Wall Street Bridge over I-691 will be closed starting from Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM to Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Traffic will be detoured and the routes will be posted as follows (see graphic below for clarity):
Northbound to North Wall Street from Wall Street

- From south of the North Wall Street Bridge, travel East on Wall Street
- Left onto Gravel Street
- Left onto Baldwin Avenue to North Wall Street
Southbound to Wall Street from North Wall Street

- From north of the North Wall Street Bridge, travel East on Baldwin Avenue
- Right onto Gravel Street
- Right onto Wall Street
