DAYTIME WORK:
Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, and form grade on Route 15 NB (from Miller Avenue to the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street).
- Install underdrain on Route 15 NB from Miller Avenue to Paddock Avenue.
- Install permanent barrier on the pier of the Paddock Avenue Bridge.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, place aggregate on I-91 NB and the I-91 NB ramp to Route 15 NB.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, place aggregate on Route 15 NB, from the Route 15 Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street to Exit 17, and on I-91 NB additional lane.
- Grade for footings of multiple bridges.
- Set and strip formwork for the parapet and end block for I-691 WB Bridge over Gravel Street and demolish former pedestals.
- Set and strip formwork for the deck ends and end blocks for the North Wall Street Bridge.
- Prep, pour, cure, patch at various locations.
- Set and strip formwork for abutment 2 footing, wing wall back wall and pedestals for the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street
- Install rebar on multiple bridges.
- Install drainage and illumination at multiple locations.
- Install underground cables for signals on East Main Street.
- Set and strip formwork and install micropiles for the Route 15 Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street.
NIGHTTIME WORK
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted. Please read information concerning our night time noise mitigation efforts here.
- North Wall Street Bridge: Partial and full-depth patches
- I-91 NB, Route 15 NG, and Paddock Avenue: permanent paving
- Pier on the I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15: median barrier removal and install temporary earth retaining system
- Former Route 15 Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street: Demolish bridge substructure
- East Main Street Bridge: Painting pier 1 to pier 2
- Onsite/offsite trucking
NIGHT WORK—Lane Closures:
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits with the following anticipated lane closures:
- I-91 NB Exit 15 to 18 for wedge paving
- Route 15 NB lane closures (The I-691 WB ramp to Route 15 NB to the northern limits) for barrier work at the bridge
- Route 15 SB lane closures (from the northern limits to the I-691 EB ramp to Route 15 SB) for barrier work at the bridge
- Route 15 NB (Paddock Avenue to East Main Street) for electrical work
- Route 15 NB (Paddock Avenue to Exit 65A) for installation of metal beam rail anchors
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
- North Wall Street Bridge is closed temporarily for bridge rehabilitation. Read more and see the detour routes here.
