DAYTIME WORK:
Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, and form grade on I-91 NB from the I-91 NB ramp to Route 15 NB to the Route 15 NB ramp to I-91 NB
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, place aggregate on Route 15 NB, from the Route 15 Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street and on I-91 NB additional lane.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, and form grade on the ramp from Route 15 NB to I-691 WB.
- Grade for footings for the Route 15 Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street and install micropiles at the pier.
- Permanent paving on Route 15 NB and from Route 15 NB ramp to I-91 NB to I-91 NB.
- Set and strip formwork for the parapet and end block for I-691 WB Bridge over Gravel Street and install bearings at abutment 2.
- Demolish pedestals on the North wall Street Bridge over I-691 and install permanent fencing.
- Prep, pour, cure, patch at various locations.
- Set and strip formwork for abutment 2 footing, wing wall back wall and pedestals for the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street.
- Install rebar on multiple bridges.
- Install drainage and illumination at multiple locations.
- Install metal beam rail at multiple locations.
- Set and strip formwork for abutment 1 & 2 footings, stem, and backwall for the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street.
- Set and strip formwork for keepers and pier for the I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15 NB Bridge.
- Install cold-apply membrane of the North Wall Street Bridge deck.
- Painting on the East Main Street Bridge over I-91 and Route 15.
- On-site/off-site trucking.
NIGHTTIME WORK:
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted. Please read information concerning our night time noise and construction work here.
- Route 15 NB from Miller Avenue to Paddock Avenue: Install process aggregate base
- Route 15 NB: Temporary pavement removal.
- I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15 and the East Main Street Bridge: Surface patches at piers.
- On-site/off-site trucking.
NIGHT WORK:
Lane and Ramp Closures: Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits with the following anticipated lane closures:
- Route 15 NB – Lane closures (The I-691 WB ramp to Route 15 NB to the northern limits) for pier repairs and haunch removal at the bridge.
- Route 15 SB – Lane closures (from the northern limits to the I-691 EB ramp to Route 15 SB) for pier repairs and haunch removal at the bridge.
- I-691 WB Exit 1C to 2A – Lane closures for I-691 traffic shift.
- I-691 WB ramp to I-91 SB – Ramp closure: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights (8/17, 18, & 19) for I-691 traffic shift and temporary barrier work.
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
- North Wall Street Bridge is closed temporarily for bridge rehabilitation. Read more and see the detour routes here.
