Traffic Shift to the New Route 15 Northbound Bridge over I-91 & Signage for Route 15 N, I-691 W, I-91 N, & Route 66 E

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a traffic shift to the right on Route 15 Northbound onto the new portion of the Route 15 Northbound Bridge over I-91, south of East Main Street, during construction of stage two (the left side) of that bridge.

The shift will continue northward and direct traffic to Route 15 Northbound, I-691 Westbound, I-91 Northbound, and Route 66 Eastbound will begin on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Signs will be posted and lanes will be marked with the route-identifying shields to help guide motorists into the proper lanes to keep them on their desired routes.

Traffic Shift Information:

The traffic shift will be onto the new portion of the Route 15 Northbound Bridge over I-91 and will continue northward to the Exit 65A and Exit 65B vicinity. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.

Motorists should be aware that modifications to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
