DAYTIME WORK:
Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the Phase 2 Project limits:
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, place aggregate on the following areas:
- I-91 NB from the Route 15 bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street to the Route 15 NB 65A ramp to I-91 NB.
- I-691 WB from the I-691 WB bridge over Route 15 to the I-691 Bridge over Gravel Street.
- The Route 15 NB 65B ramp to I-691 WB.
- Work on the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street:
- Backfill footings and wall of the piers on the
- Pour stem and backwall, and set and strip formwork for caps and pedestals
- Fit up diaphragms, drill and bolt to existing steel.
- Grade for approach slabs.
- Permanent paving on I-691 WB, Route 15 NB, the Route 15 NB Exit 65B to I-691 WB, and on the I-691 WB Bridge over Gravel Street and the I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15.
- Demolish pedestals for the East Main Street Bridge and perform steel repairs.
- Prep, pour, cure, patch and install penetrating sealer at various locations.
- Set and strip formwork on multiple bridge decks
- Form and install rebar on multiple bridges.
- Blast/clean/prime steel on the North Wall Street Bridge.
- Install:
- Permanent barrier at the I-691 WB from the I-691 WB bridge over Route 15.
- Drainage on the Route 15 NB ramp to I-691 WB and in the I-91 and Route 15 medians.
- Illumination both permanent and temporary on I-691 WB and ramp.
- Metal beam rail at the Route 15 NB Exit 65B to I-691 WB.
- Fall plantings at the Route 15 NB Exit 64A to I-91 NB and 65B ramp to I-691 WB.
- Seeding in various areas.
NIGHTTIME WORK
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work. Please read about our night time noise and construction work here.
- Lane and ramp closures/stoppages on I-91, I-691, and Route 15.
- Relocate temporary barrier on I-91, I-691, and Route 15 ramps at various locations.
- Excavate, backfill, formation of subgrade, place aggregate, concrete pavement reconstruction, pour deck and remove overhang and underdecking on the Route 15 NB Bridge over I-91 north of East Main Street.
- Containment painting on the East Main Street and North Wall Street Bridges.
- Remove overhang and underdecking on the I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15.
- Install:
- Penetration sealer on various bridges
- Winter epoxy at various locations
NIGHT WORK—Lane Closures: Possible Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM: no lane closures are anticipated currently, but please check our website for updates to this schedule.
