SHORT-TERM CLOSURE and DETOUR:

NEW RAMP OPENS:
The new Route 15 NB Exit NB Exit 64-A to East Main Street is anticipated to open in its new configuration on Monday, May 4, weather permitting. Read more.
DAY WORK:
During weekdays Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control, as required.
- Excavate and backfill at the detention pond
- Excavate and backfill along Route 15 NB
- Install modules for multiple retaining walls and parapets.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base on the Route 15 NB Exit 65-B ramp to I-691 WB
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base on the I-91 NB and Route 15 NB off ramps to East Main Street.
- Pave various areas along I-91 NB, I-691 WB, Route 15 NB, the I-91 NB median and the Route 15 NB Exit 64-B ramp to East Main Street.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base on Paddock Avenue aprons, curbing, and sidewalk.
- Set and strip formwork for :
- Multiple moment slabs.
- The pedestals for the East Main Street Bridge.
- Paddock Avenue and sidewalks and ramps, and pour sidewalks.
- Temporary slabs for concrete pavement replacement, and pour.
- Prep, pour, cure, patch, and install penetrating sealer at various locations.
- Jacking of column alterations on the I-691 WB Bridge over Route 15
- Install illumination at multiple retaining walls.
- Install overhead sign foundations at various locations throughout the project limits.
- Install metal beam rails and anchors on Route 15 NB and I-91 NB in various locations.
- Onsite/offsite trucking.
NIGHT WORK:
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Ramp and lane closures on Route 15, I-91, and I-691.
- Strip temporary sidewalks on Paddock Avenue and overhangs on bridge
- Full-depth roadway replacement on Paddock Avenue
- Milling for pavement overlay on Paddock Avenue
- Paddock Avenue Road Closure: follow detour route—detour routes
- Tree clearing and roadway core testing with lane closures for Phase 3 of the Program.
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
- The On-ramp to Route 15 NB, I-91 NB and I-691 EB from East Main Street is closed temporarily for roadway construction and safety. Read more and see detour map.
- Paddock Avenue: one-way alternating traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal, and nighttime closure/detour on Paddock Avenue over Route 15 between Barr Road and Overlook Road. Read more.
