DAY WORK:
During weekdays, (with the exception of Friday, 4/3) Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control, as required.
- Install permanent barrier and excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base, In the I-91 median at the East Main Street bridge vicinity.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base, and install temporary earth retaining system at multiple retaining walls.
- Prepare to excavate and backfill for headwall at I-691 WB Exit 2A slope.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base, and install temporary earth retaining system on Route 15 NB from Miller Avenue to Paddock Avenue.
- Form and pour leveling pads for multiple retaining walls.
- Set and strip formwork for multiple moment slabs.
- Set and strip formwork for Paddock Avenue Bridge overhead and under decking.
- Set and strip formwork for the wall on the Route 15 NB Exit 65B Bridge to I-691 WB.
- Prepare for concrete pour, cure, patch locations as required.
- Install rebar on multiple bridge decks and parapets.
- Install illumination at multiple retaining walls.
- Install overhead sign foundations at various locations throughout the project limits.
- Install metal beam rails and anchors on Route 15 NB and I-91 NB in various locations.
- Onsite/offsite trucking.
NIGHT WORK:
Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Ramp and lane closures on Route 15, I-91, and I-691.
- Relocation of sign structures in various locations.
- Install permanent drainage at Route 15 NB at paddock Avenue vicinity.
- Structural steel erection on I-691 WB bridge over Gravel Street.
- Install jacking at the abutments on the East Main Street Bridge.
- Excavate, formation of subgrade, place process aggregate base, and install temporary earth retaining system on Route 15 NB at Miller Avenue vicinity.
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads.
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
The On-ramp to Route 15 NB, I-91 NB and I-691 EB from East Main Street is closed temporarily for roadway construction and safety. Read more and see detour map.
