Beginning on Thursday, June 12, at 8:30 PM, traffic will shift to facilitate abutment repairs on the I-91 NB bridge over Bee Street.
Motorists will not be able to access Exit 18 from I-91 NB. To reach Route 66 Eastbound (EB), drivers must take the earlier Exit 17 to Route 15 NB, then use Exit 68N-E, which will lead directly to Route 66 EB.
This traffic pattern and detour will remain in effect for the duration of Stage 2 work, which is expected to continue through July 2025.

June 12, during nighttime hours, from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM, crews will continue the following activities:
- Shimming the pavement on I-91 NB and paving final layer of asphalt
- Installing metal beam rail on the I-691 EB off-ramp to I-91 NB, I-91 NB ramp to Route 66 EB, I-691 EB, I-91 NB, and the Route 66 EB ramp to Preston Ave/East Main Street
- Reestablish marking post paving
June 13 during daytime hours, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, crews will continue the following activities:
- Installing the sound barrier wall panels on and I-91 NB towards Route 66 EB
- I-91 NB (Bee Street Bridge) demolishing the backwall and back filling the approach slab
- Removing the temporary ramp and installing gore drainage on Exit 18 on I-91 NB

Thursday, June 12, during nighttime hours from 8 PM to 6 AM, motorists should expect the following traffic impacts and closures:
- Lane closures on I-91 NB
- Lane closures on I-691 EB lane closures east of Exit 1A
- Closure of the Route 15 NB Exit 68N-E Ramp
