SHORT-TERM CLOSURE/DETOUR and I-91 INTERMITTENT 15-MINUTE STOPPAGES:
- East Main Street on-ramp to I-91 SB and Route 15 SB will be closed Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19, each night from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Read more and see detour map.
- Murdock Avenue nighttime closure and intermittent 15-minute stoppages on I-91 Wednesday and Thursday, May 20 and 21. Read more and see detour map.
The above closures are weather permitting, and may be postponed to the following week.
HOLIDAY WEEKEND SCHEDULE:
Note there will be no work over the Memorial Day holiday weekend from 6:00 AM Friday, 5/22 to Tuesday, 5/26 at 9:00 AM.
DAY WORK:
Except for the holiday schedule, during weekdays Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 3 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control, as required.
- Finish setup of Smart Work Zone System.
- Sawcut and excavate I-91 SB right shoulder from the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91 south of East Main Street to Murdock Avenue.
- Create construction access at various locations.
- Construction staking sitewide.
NIGHT WORK:
Except for the holiday schedule, Sunday through Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 3 Project limits:
- I-91 SB various lane closures (Exits 20 to 15)
- I-91 NB various lane closures (Exits 15 to 17)
- Route 15 SB various lane closures
- Mill and pave rumble strip removal Route 15 SB
- Traffic shift I-91 SB (Exits 17 to 15)
