Phase 3: Nighttime Clearing Operations Announced

Closures / Detours, Construction Alerts, Lane Closures, Phase Three

There will be nighttime tree clearing within the project limits beginning Monday night, April 6, 2026 with lane and possible ramp closures.  Work will take place Sunday through Thursday nights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM and is anticipated to be completed by Thursday night, April 16.

Tree clearing is done at night since it is necessary to take a lane for the protection of traffic, and lane closures are not permitted during the day.

Areas of tree clearing and grubbing include:

  • I-91 SB (between Exit 17 and 15)
  • Route 15 SB (at the I-691 overpass to Miller Avenue)
  • Murdock Avenue vicinity
