NOTE: There will be no construction over Labor Day weekend, from Friday 8/29 at 3:30 PM, through Tuesday 9/2 at 6:00 AM.
DAY WORK:
During weekdays, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted below throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control.
- Excavate and backfill for retaining walls from Route 15 NB over I-91 south of the East Main Street Bridge and continuing along the ramp to East Main Street, and install precast concrete blocks, and set and strip formwork for pier cap and pedestals.
- Install permanent barrier in the I-91 NB median.
- Prep for underpinning the Route 15 NB Exit 68W bridge to I-691 WB
- Install temporary earth retaining system for new pier for the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91(south of the I-691 interchange) and demolish former pier
- Fine grade and pave Route 15 NB at the Route 15 NB Exit 68W ramp
- Set and strip formwork for deck and parapets, abutments and pier for the Paddock Avenue Bridge over Route 15.
- Form and strip stem, pier cap, stem, backwall, wingwall, and pedestals for the Route 15 NB over I-91 south of the East Main Street Bridge.
- Drill and grout dowels and bolts for the I-691 WB bridge over Route 15
- Prep, pour, cure, patch, and rub concrete at various locations as required.
- Onsite/offsite trucking.
NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES:
Closures are possible Sunday through Friday nights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM as follows:
- East Main Street (East Main Street Bridge) for bridge reconstruction work
NIGHT WORK:
Sunday through Friday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, crews will conduct a variety of work as noted below throughout Project limits:
- Demolition and work on the East Main Street bridge
- Installation of illumination crossings on Route 15 NB and exits
- Sawcut for drainage crossings on I-691 WB and I-91 NB
- Installation of speed reduction signage on Route 15 NB, I-91 NB, and I-691 WB
LONG-TERM CLOSURES/TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
