DAY WORK:
During weekdays, Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 27, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM crews will conduct a variety of work as noted below throughout the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange Phase 2 Project limits:
- Maintenance and protection of traffic with lane and shoulder closures on I-91, I-691, and Route 15, and some local roads, as required.
- Maintain stockpile locations, sweeping, dust control.
- Excavate, backfill and dewater temporary earth retaining for retaining wall on Route 15 NB north of Paddock Avenue Bridge over Route 15 and install doublwall blocks.
- Excavate, backfill, form subgrade, and pour leveling pads for retaining walls along the I-91 NB and Route 15 NB Exit ramps to East Main Street and install doublewall blocks.
- Excavate for support of excavation, install soil nail wall, pull piles and grade for footing for the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91, south of the I-691 interchange
- Install permanent barrier in the I-91 median
- Install damp-proofing on the bridge abutment 1 for the Paddock Avenue bridge over Route 15
- Install support of excavation for the I-691 WB bridges over Gravel Street and Route 15
- Set and strip formwork for the retaining wall at the East Main Street bridge and heading north along Route 15 NB
- Excavate and grade for the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91 (south of East Main Street)
- Set formwork for the pier columns for the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91 (south of East Main Street) and pour
- Set and strip formwork for wingwalls, pedestals and stem for abutment one of the Paddock Avenue Bridge
- Set and strip formwork for wingwalls, backwall, and stem for abutment two of the Paddock Avenue Bridge
- Set and strip formwork for the Route 15 NB Exit 67 to East Main Street bridge deck
- Set and strip formwork for the Route 15 NB bridge over I-91 (south of East Main Street)
- Prep, pour, cure, patch, and rub various locations as required
- Install soil nail at various location as support of excavation
- Install permanent drainage crossings in the median at the two Route 15 NB bridges over I-91
NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES:
Closures are possible Sunday through Friday nights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM as follows:
- East Main Street
NIGHT WORK:
During the Sunday through Friday nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, crews will conduct a variety of work as noted below throughout Project limits:
- On the East Main Street bridge:
- Remove/install road plates
- Excavate shoulders for reinforced process aggregate base
- Concrete slab repairs
- Bearing pedestal replacement and construct deck ends
- Demo existing deck ends
- Install partial depth patches
- Sawcut for concrete pavement replacement on I-91 NB
